A living room for my taste
Some homes are built in peculiar way which makes you go through living room when you go out. I moved into my apartment about two months ago. Literally living room is in use of another student, as his own room. So, you could easily assume now that I'm not talking about this apartment, right? I am not, but I am actually talking about my life.
When I moved here there was no living room. Later on I found out that a local art & culture organization of youth has opened a one. It's a public living room in the centre of Kuopio, offering a chance to sit there without having to buy a pint or cup of coffee. Painters can show their works there and this Paahtamo organization talks about next happenings and overally trying to promote discussion about subjects that are close to their interests. This place is in my route while walking into school. That's why I have been thinking this going out through living room. The name of this public living room is Olohuone, "living room" in Finnish.
Most of the time the place is open for everyone without any charge. Sometimes when bands and artists perform there might be some kind of ticket price, last friday it was 1 euro. It was great price for that kind of entertainment, I got many laughs and smiles for it! Maybe this Olohuone is just the kind of living room I want. If I would have a one in my apartment, I doubt anyone would perform there. I don't know if I would want that. Neighbours wouldn't like it very much. So it's better keep it this way. The truth is out there. To be more exact, Olohuone is out there.
